As you know, since October 2010 we have been monitoring natural disasters as we approached the date of December 21st, 2012. The reason is because of a forecast by NASA in 2006 predicting a so called “Solar Super Storm” for the end of December 2012, when the Sun would reach its “solar maximum” of his cycle, so we thought it would be a really interesting coincidence if this NASA prediction coincide with the Mayan calendar “end of the world” theory . Even though NASA changed the forecast in 2009, in 2010 the Sun “awoke”, it began to increase its activity and interesting and catastrophic things began to happen that made us think about the credibility or the accuracy of this “new” forecast”.
- On Saturday, 27 February 2010 a magnitude 8.8 earthquake occurred off the coast of central Chile.
- On October that year NASA presented a new project called “Solar Shield” to protect North American power grid from Solar storms.
- A lot of HUGE sinkholes appeared since the beginning of 2010: February 2010 – Beijing, China / May 2010 – St Jude, Canada / May 2010 – Guatemala City / June 2010 – Ningxiang, Hunan province, China / June 2010 – Quzhou, Zhejiang province of China / July 2010 – Ahmedabad, India / July 2010 – Estado Anzoategui, Venuzuela / August 2010 – Taiyuan, China / October 2010 – Megi in Suao, in Taiwan’s eastern Ilan county, China / November 1st 2010 – Schmalkalden, Germany.
- On November 5th an article is posted to warn frequent fliers for “radiation poisoning risks” because “NASA scientists believe the Earth is facing danger from a once-in-a-century “solar flare”, a disturbance on the Sun’s surface that could cause geomagnetic storms on this planet.”
- On January 5th 2011 scientists say the magnetic north pole is moving towards Russia.
- On January 7th an article shows massive animal deaths occurring all over the world, mostly birds and fishes.
- On January 12th a magnitude 7.0 earthquake occurred in Haiti.
- On January 21st more dead fish appeared, now in Barrancabermeja, Colombia.
- On February 8th thousands of dead fish appeared in Florida, USA.
- On February 15th the strongest solar flare in four years disrupted radio communications in southern China.
- On February 20th more than 100 pilot whales died in a mass stranding at a remote New Zealand beach.
- On February 21st, Philippine´s major volcano Mount Bulusan erupted and hundreds of people were evacuated.
- On February 22nd a powerful earthquake mangnitude 6.3 ripped through Christchurch, New Zealand, killing at least 65 people.
- On March 9th a type X1.5 Coronal Mass Ejection was released from the sunspot 1166. After 4 years without Type X solar storms, this one was the second in less of one month. Also mass fish death was reported in Redondo, California in USA and also in Green Head, Australia
- On March 11th an earthquake magnitude 9,0 occurred in Japan followed by a devastating tsunami. This was the most powerful earthquake that Japan has ever suffered and the fifth most powerful of the World ever measured.
After this event we really started to consider the possibility of a link between solar activity and sismic activity on Eart.
- On June, NASA confirms the Sun is entering a very low activity period, based on new calculations, and if there is going to be a Solar Storm, it would be very weak.
- On August 4th a strong CME M9.3-class was ejected from the Sun.
- On August 9th a major solar flare X-7-class emerged from the Sun.
- On September 6th TWO x-class solar flares were released by the Sun.
- On December the European Union made a report about the dangerous risks of Solar Storms.
- On January 2012 a series of videos began to be posted on the internet showing “The Hum“, strange sounds being recorded all over the world, some of them faked, some of them really intriguing.
- On January 19th an M3-class solar flare erupted on the Sun.
- On January 22nd an M9 class flare erupted on the Sun causing the strongest solar radiation storm since September 2005.
- On January 23rd around 100 whales stranded at the Spit, on the northwest tip of the South Island. Also a landslide that mountainous central Papua New Guinea. The landslide carved a 1-mile (1.5 kilometer) trail of destruction across the remote landscape leaving roads to the villages cut off.
- On March 7th an X5-class solar flare was ejected from the Sun.
- On April, an article by space.com says that Earth is unprepared for a Super Solar Storm.
Then, as no more big events occurred we begin to lose interest and begin to think maybe this was just a random follow up of disasters and a coincidentally solar activity increase. We are now on December 20th and we have no real reason to believe anything catastrophic is going to happen tomorrow, that´s all.
