Dead Alien found in Siberia?

21/04/2011 – UPDATE: And finally, more PROOF that “Siberian Alien” is a HOAX:

We said it was too good to be true and, sadly, it was.

The students behind the discovery of an alien’s body at a UFO ‘crash site’ have admitted that it was a ‘crummy’ hoax made out of stale bread.

Friends Timur Hilall, 18, and Kirill Vlasov, 19, shot the video that showed the alien’s mangled remains frozen in snow in Irkutsk, Siberia.

The pair were questioned by police over their ‘extraterrestrial discovery’ but admitted to their stunt.

But not before their creation became an internet sensation, drawing almost 700,000 hits on YouTube.

Their find was deemed serious enough for the Kremlin to get involved and a spokesman from the Russian interior ministry confirmed the hoax.

‘We found the alien in one of the student’s homes,’ he said.

‘It was lying under his bed and an examination of it revealed it had been made of bread crumbs which were covered in chicken skin.’

Prosecutors are now considering whether or not the pair have committed any crimes.

Sergei Zvedzin, a police spokesman, said: ‘What are we going to do with them? We have not yet decided.

‘We will be looking to see if a crime has been committed in connection with the use of animal skin. If they have committed an offence they will have to pay for it.’

Their bogus claims appeared after locals reported seeing an alien spaceship crash in the area last month.

Local UFO expert, Alex Komanov, from the Russion UFO Research Centre, dismissed the find saying: ‘The body is interesting. The texture is similar to a real bological entity.

‘However, the creature has no clothes and I am sure that intelligent beings would be dressed in something like a space suit or coveralls.’

However, conspiracy theorists have already started accusing the government of a cover up. One said: ‘We know what we saw. Powerful people in the military just don’t want us to see this.’

This happens when non-serious webs promote this kind of hoaxes, they call the attention of the media and soon or later it is confirmed a fake and then we all ufologists are seen as fools just because a few believed such a hoax like this.

The footage of an alleged “dead alien” found in Siberia has become viral all over the web. The first time I saw the video it looked clearly fake, but most people believe it is real.

Now it seems that the case is explainable:

(RTNews): A video of what was claimed to be a mutilated alien corpse, which scored hundreds of thousands of views on YouTube, has turned out to be fake.

The tiny “dead alien” is just skin from chicken filled with bread, reports the website Police questioned the men who claimed to have found the “body” and they allegedly confessed to creating it themselves.

The chief editor of the local Kabansk-Info newspaper initially thought that it was the body of an infant in the video and alerted the police.  Officers immediately started the investigation and identified the alleged author.

They went to his house and asked him about the infant’s body.  The scared man reportedly showed a fake alien corpse.  It was even painted in “alien colors”.  Scolding is the only possible punishment for such a stunt as it cannot be considered a crime, the report says.

The footage was taken near the village of Kamensk in the Russian republic Buryatia, just north of Lake Baikal, the file’s description said.

It showed what appeared to be a humanoid body less than a meter high with a skeletal big-eyed head and thin naked body. One of its legs was missing.

Emotional off-screen comments said the body was found a couple of hours before and was clearly very dead.

Local media reported there were numerous reports of UFO sightings in the area in March, some of them later attributed to bombing training at a nearby military range.
